Thanks for the info Bob! I am planning to attend this year and hope to camp now that this is an option. Midwest Fly-in is always a lot of fun! Nuvite is on order and should be here soon. I think my polish job looks good till I see Bob's beautiful Sonex. This is just the motivation I need to get to polishing again so I am not totally embarrassed. :)

We have a 24 hour restroom on the field and a 7/11 about a 1/4 mile down the road.

2016 Mid West Sonex Fly In UPDATE

Postby planeolbob » Thu May 19, 2016 4:03 pm

Hi Everyone.
I am happy to share that Jack Gonzenbach and the CAMit Aero Engine group will have a booth at the fly in. Jack will also be giving a presentation of this engine as it is now an approved option for the B Model. I have revised the schedule and posted it on the web site. Here is a link:

Re: 2016 Mid West Sonex Fly In Rain Date update

Postby planeolbob » Wed May 25, 2016 11:20 pm

Hi everyone,
Attached is the latest forecast. I am going to delay the fly in one day to SUNDAY. I hope that works for everyone. We have had rain every day for the last 7 and the airport is a swamp. More updates will be posted every day.

I was hoping to surprise you up there but my Dad left town and the midwest looks sketchy. Maybe next year...

Hi Everyone,
We had very bad storms last night in the area with rain, hail and tornados. However, it looks like the weekend is improving. I will be at K34 doing set up on Saturday. If you fly in give me a call if I am not around. Sunday still looks very good and we should have all the "Usual Suspects" attending. Here is the latest forecast:
