No worries Robbie, I am Waiex focused. But if my younger son really decides he wants to build a Baby Great Lakes that is a good excuse for me to start teaching him how to gas weld!

Nice meeting you yesterday Brian. Your Y X is obviously the result of a lot of hard work. That's a hard choice to make, the one between flying sooner and polishing for later. Your project and my Onex were the only two Sonex's on the field while I was there. I left about 10:30. Winds were right down 30 and not a problem for Onex107. It's 100 nautical miles from Peoria to Poplar Grove. It took me an hour and fifteen min. coming up, with head winds, and an hour coming back with tail winds. I stayed under the solid cloud cover on the way up, sometimes down to 1400 ft., but always had 10 miles visibility. On the way back I was on top at 4500 ft. and the layer was well broken up. All clear South of Rt. 80. Poplar Grove is like flying into a flying museum. A beautiful, unique, place.

Nice to meet you too Maurice! Poplar Grove is not only like a museum, there is a little one on the other side of the field! Your Onex looked great!
