On this eve of AirVenture, it truly saddens me to share that John Davis of Crossville TN passed away last evening. His daughter Diane let me know this morning that he passed after a short illness.
Diane has requested that we DO NOT SHARE ON FACEBOOK AT THIS TIME. A celebration of life information will be shared when available. No service is planned at this time.
Fair winds John as you are cleared on your final flight home.

He is missed. For those not recognizing the name, John was the driving force behind the American Sonex Association that had a large fly-in every year in Crossville TN I think there were 40 Sonex there the last time I attended. When he decided it was time to hand the reins to others, it seemed no one else was up to the job and the group dissolved within a few years.
