Robbie,

Congratulations. Funnily enough I saw the ad for the lots at that airport a while back. Well done for grabbing the Brass Ring!

I see an excuse for a hanger party in the future!

Someone asked me about this offline, so I thought I would post an update.

In a whirlwind of good luck and insanity, Brenda and I found a home with a hangar to rent at T25 while ours is being built. So, our timeline moved up a bit, and as of three weeks ago we now live in Texas. (See my other post at viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7400 - my flight down in the Sonex)

Since May, we found the rental home - two blocks from where we are building - sold our house in Chicagoland, emptied it and hired a mover, then drove down in two cars with two big dogs. It has been an adventure to say the least.

I flew back up right after Labor Day on American Airlines and then flew my Sonex down - Brenda went back last weekend and brought the Champ down. With less than 100 hours in her logbook, she flew a hand-prop Tailwheel aircraft across the US. Love it.

The community here is amazing. We already feel like we are home and are meeting more and more new friends every day.

I wake up every morning and think “wow - I live at an airpark!”

Awesome Robbie! Too bad you didn't move out to C77. Then you could still have the airpark living experience without having to give up taxes, winter, and Pritzker.
