Sonex Simple Automatic canopy safety latch

Here is a simple canopy safety latch I installed on Red One that automatically locks when the canopy is closed and can be opened from the out side.

Thank you John. I modified the design avoided the notch in the A series canopy, and eliminated the loose part for lock, but your idea is readily adaptable to mine and will do so.

Please do not bother Sonex for details or instructions...they do not have them yet. I will add more details on this list as well as a solution for legacy Sonex canopies and eventually on the Sonex site.

Any update on this canopy latch?
Has someone made a similar latch and is willing to share dimensions?
Mine is a Sonex A with the plans latch system using the pin.

I made one and it works very well. I don't have any dimensions as I just studied the pictures and made one that looks the same dimensions.
