Duckworks Aviation in business?

Postby sjakulski » Tue Oct 26, 2021 2:10 pm

I ordered the Sonex wing leading edge landing lights from Duckworks a week ago but have heard nothing from them. Calls/emails go unanswered. Anyone heard anything about them lately…still in business? Steve

An update. Simce Duckworks used Paypal for their transaction my call to Paypal resulted in their follow up, indicating a wait of up to 10 days or so for a response back from Duckworks. To my surprise I received a paypal message a few hours later indicating my refund was being processed. I guess Duckworks is capute…

What have others used for their landing/taxi light option?

I just installed the LED landing light kit made for the Sonex wing from www.freshaero.com and so far I’m happy with them! I haven’t made an attempt to fly at night but others have told me during dusk hours, the lights are easily visible from 3-5 miles away. It’s a very similar setup to Duckworks. Check it out!

I have a new, never installed set of Duckworth wingtip lights that you can have for $100.
There’s nothing wrong with them, I just decided not to use them.
Send me a pm if you’re interested.

Thanks, an hour too late as I just purchased the last two leading edge lights from Fresh Areo. Fresh Aero is not producing these any longer either…citing inability to get parts and his contractors move on. I did prefer the leading edge vs wing tip anyhow… Steve

Are there any suppliers of leading edge landing lights with these two gone? I'm sure I could roll my own, but that seems like a lot of work.
