Now I have a better excuse for not flying my Waiex to Oshkosh 2020!

Guess it was inevitable, but I really thought this would be my first year to attend... O well, here's to 2021!

Anyone think Sonex could/ would still do a low key homecoming? Easier to arrange than something as large as AirVenture...

As a matter of fact, we have entertained the idea of a "Homecoming" in conjunction with our local EAA Chapter over a month ago. There is a lot to consider like actual dates, how long, camping, etc., etc. More improvement has to happen between now and July so we will not make a decision until late June. Who among you will fly in if an event is planed?

I just ordered my tail kit so clearly I wouldn't be flying in, BUT as a prospective / current builder it would be AWESOME to visit a Sonex fly-in to see a bunch of the planes in person, in one place.

John Monnett, it's highly unlikely I will ever fly into airventure, but I am very interested in flying my sonex to a special homecoming event.

Is it acceptable to "Fly" the Buick to the homecoming? Will there be a beer tent?

Thanks for stopping by John! (Mr. Monnett, Sir, sorry I'm still new around here.) I'm game for it, 541 and I should both be ready by then. Plus I've got some extra vacation to burn now since both of my big trips for the year were cancelled.

Might be a BYOBT.... (What kind of Buick? Don't want to hijack the thread.)

I had already booked an airline ticket and a hotel, still didn’t cancel, so I am more the happy (even excited ..!) to attend a Sonex “Homecoming”.
Count me in!
