Great report! I hope you don't mind if I link this to my ongoing "Corvair - Justification Series" thread on here that I've been working on for a few days now. In full disclosure I must tell the group that I have flown in this airplane with Mr. Lee off of his 2800' strip. It is exactly as he says with trees on both ends. I believe we were at a gross weight of 1260 lbs. or so that day. I was impressed with how well his airplane performed and I remarked that, if it were possible, his Corvair was smoother than mine! I first got a look at his nose gear Corvair version when he flew it down to visit one day.
