Was watching this video on Boom Technology's development of a supersonic passenger aircraft. Look at the hangar mate of the mockup of their tech demo aircraft:

Yeah, that's Nick Sheryka's Waiex. He's an engineer with Boom. Bums hangar space from them at KAPA.

Yup, thats me :)

Was a great perk of the job while it lasted.. we need the hangar floor space now to start building our jet so I moved into a tee hangar at KAPA last month.

Barring the unforeseen, I'll be at Oshkosh again this year (second year for N142YX) and I will be giving a forum talk all about the detail design of our supersonic demonstrator. More details on that soon.

I'll be giving a talk about the XB-1 Supersonic Technology Demonstrator at Oshkosh this year and finally got all the details locked down. Please come if this is up your ally!

My CEO Blake Scholl will be giving a talk on Monday, July 24th at 4:00pm on Forum Stage 1 entitled "Building a Faster Future". This talk will focus on Boom Supersonic's mission; why we are doing this and how we intend to bring back mainstream, supersonic commercial travel at an affordable price.

I will be giving a talk on Tuesday, July 25th at 2:30pm on Forum Stage 3 entitled "Boom Supersonic - Inside Sneak Peek". This talk will focus on the specific design and engineering of the XB-1, our supersonic technology demonstrator aircraft being built right now in Centennial, Colorado. I'll also tell a little bit about my story, and how the EAA and building a Sonex Waiex gave me the career trajectory boost that I needed to get to work on such a cool project.

Wish I could make it! Looks like OSH 2018 is my year; maybe you'll be giving us a great update on the demonstrator's build progress and/or impending flight test program then. :-)

Good luck with the talk, and say "Hi" to Mike Reid for me!

P.S. If I *was* going to be at your talk, I'd ask why the Tech Demonstrator has a mid-wing when the main vehicle is projected to be a low-wing design... Isn't that going to result in different flying qualities and (more importantly) different shockwave patterns?
