Hi all,
Any sonex people who are veterans and will be on the grounds fri jul 28 , 2017, 8am, a good annual veterans breakfast is avbl at the partner resource center, prc, just west of the control tower. Event is free, but must preregister and print tickets. Last years guest speaker was michael durant, pilot of helo blackhawk that crashed in somalia. Not sure of this years speaker, but the best breakfast in an airconditioned tent .
Also for any one that is a lifetime eaa member, online registration is now avbl for the lifetime dinner in the eagle hangar on tue jul 25 . This years guest speaker is col dick kalata , pilot of marine one .
Another fun event is the homebuilders dinner at the nature center , fri jul 28, 6 pm. Get your tickets at homebuilt registration. Best fried chicken and fixins ever. And a beer wagon. Always a good guest speaker also.
Sonex foundation bbq wed 26 jul on the east side of wittman , at wayne and kathy daniels house. Wed nite airshow to follow.
Dont forget the sonex open house sun jul 23.
Also the homebuilt camping corn roast(need to check for date and time, i believe it will be july26 wed nite), and sat jul 29 seaplane base bbq and watermelon social. Get your tickets early , this sells out fast. A beer wagon and yearly monogrammed mug as a gift.

You may want to double check with Sonex, but I don't believe they are planning to have a "hangar party" on Monday night this year at OSH.

Is there an open house this year? Could not find anything about it on the website. There was a link in the section where they discuss factory tours and parts pickup during Convention, but the link appears to be dead.

Hey Carl,

I just looked at the events calendar on the factory website and it lists the Sonex Homecoming and Open House on July 23, 2017 from 10:00-2:00. Instructions and directions are listed in there as well.

Take a look under the company tab, and under the events tab. Let me know if you can't find it.

I have to decide in the next 2-3 days, since my dorm reservation expires on the 15th. Really hoping to go. Guilt, though because Betty is remaining home since we couldn't get a dog sitter for #1 son & granddogger. Is there the annual Foundation meeting?

We have decided to forego the hangar party this year -- we have some stiff competition on Monday night with EAA's concert headliner for 2017.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the show!

So, in other words, Mark is a huge Barenaked Ladies fan and doesn't want to miss the Monday night concert for the world! I get it!! :D

I think John's more excited about the concert than anyone!
