I really appreciate all the effort to talk me out of flush rivets :D At this point, I'm about 95% sure I'll just go with the standard rivets, and be happy. I'm not that hung up on the appearance, and I really do appreciate the savings in time, effort, and a little money. It's also hard to argue with the aircraft designers intent.
