Any recent progress?

Has anyone been in contact with the Sonex factory to catch a progress update on the SubSonex? I was under the impression that it was almost ready to test fly last fall after the redesign. Since this will be the next plane I build, I hope they're still working on it!

During the Aerovee Turbo webinar on 6/21/11, John said that the SubSonex is sitting in the back waiting on higher priority projects to be completed. My impression is that it will be a while before it flies again.
At least they've got it on the right gear configuration now.

When we were up at the Sonex factory for the spring workshop it was obvious that the Onex was their first priority.

I have no doubt that the Onex and Aerovee combo will be a huge money maker for Sonex aircraft. It only makes business sense to focus on that for now.
Hopefully some day they can continue to work on the Subsonex, since that will be my next project!! :mrgreen:

Sonex posted their Airventure 2011 Forum Schedule today. Nothing listed for the SubSonex this year :o .
