Greetings from Santa Rosa California

I'm looking into starting a Waiex-B kit and have been doing my research on the Sonex line of aircraft, engine options, avionics, etc. I've been into aviation since I was a child and have a few hundred hours behind Cessna's and some other random aircraft, but would like to build and fly my own.

I actually started an RV-8 empennage kit a few years back, but after some further research I decided I did not want to invest several thousands of hours and $80k+ into a kit plane. That's where Sonex comes in.

Look forward to all the experience, advice, and motivation this forum will be able to provide me as I start my build.

The Sonex/ Waiex definitely fit the bill at a price and performance point between RVs and others. Plus, there's definitely a wealth of experience around here.
