considering a Onex or Sonex

Postby v_buddy » Mon Jan 02, 2017 11:24 am

Hi. This is Vince from the Mankato, MN area. I am considering a Onex or Sonex but am used to flying Cessna 152s/172s and Piper Archers. Is there anybody that is near Mankato or flies through Mankato occasionally that would be willing to take me for a 10 minute flight in a Sonex to get a feel for it? Also, anyone building and Onex or Sonex near Mankato? Seeing a kit in the middle of a build would be nice. Thanks.

Hi Vince,
I live in rochester, mn and I'm in the late stages of building an 'A' model sonex- I'm just about ready to mount the engine. You are more than welcome to come see my build (It's at my house).

Vince, I live in Oelwein, Iowa and fly Sonex 959 with a 3300 engine. I fly right over MKT once or twice a year when I visit my parents at Ottertail lake. You are only an hour away so I could give you a ride sometime. I'm always looking for a destination. If you take Jim up on his offer, RST is only 30 min. for me. I don't fly much in the winter, no heater, but if it's over 30 degrees and sunny, I'm game.
PM me or kmwoody49atyahoo.
