Hey guys. John Nagy from Lutz, FL, a suburb of Tampa. I'm a retired Airbus A-330 pilot and Army Aviator. Aircraft owned were a Piper Comanche and Aeronca Champ. I am very interested in building a Sonex or Waiex in the near future. I will be all over the Sonex display at the next Sun n' Fun. I am definitely looking forward to meeting Sonex owners and builders.

Welcome John. This is a great place to discover all things Sonex. Read the posts and ask questions about anything...we are all here to help. Florida Sonex Association is a good place for you to investigate also. They are in your neck of the woods and can probably arrange for you to get up close and personal with a Sonex and with several builders in your area.

Welcome, and I second Bill's recommendation to check out the Florida Sonex Association. Great way to meet local builders, owners, and pilots.

Welcome to the forums John! As an unbiased person, if you are deciding between a Sonex or Waiex, I will point out that the Waiex is awesomely cool. You can't go wrong with either. What did you fly in the Army? I used to work at Sikorsky.

I will say that Waiex drivers are never challenged on the size of their hands. Just saying.
