Looks great Ryan! Hope I can remember the fuel tank angles idea.

Ryan,

I can relate to both of your recent completions. Just wait until you work on permanently installing the fuel tank. I still owe Steve Stahl for his sacrifice to get the bolts for the straps installed.

I look forward to your panel layout and experience with the Discovery Lite.

It's true what they say about waiting as long as possible to order your avionics. I purchased mine in July, the Xtreme finally shipped in early September...installed in late November and now the Lite is released after my panel is wired up...

New posts for most of my work since January.

Engine block completion: http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... ompletion/

Mounting the engine, installing oil cooler and manifolds. http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... -manifold/

Installation of a French Door in my basement so I"ll actually be able to get the plane out! http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... ench-door/

Canopy frame, and initial installation and trimming of the canopy: http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... -trimming/

Electrical system and instrument panel planning. http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... -planning/

Here's a link directly to my current wiring diagram plan. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ApjY ... ZuYkU/view

Firewall preperation and battery box. http://www.rynoth.com/wordpress/waiex/2 ... ttery-box/

At this time my canopy is 99% complete, and I'll be posting when it's 100%. I did do the swing-back canopy mod and plan to write up a bit about what that experience was like. My next couple steps will be finishing firewall preperation, starting in on the electrical and fuel systems, and mounting the engine for the final time.

Ryan,
Always good to see electrons running around and behaving. Question, what is mounted up high on the firewall? I was going to get the tank installed for keeps, but if I need that real estate I probably shouldn't.
