Glad to see you are moving again. Was worried your daughter would be doing the first flight. That would not be all bad but I'd say save that for the next airplane.

Looking great Ryan! I can’t wait to hear your first flight report!

Which airport are you based at? That doesn’t look like TYS...just curious!

It's actually KRKW, Rockwood, TN. It's a 30 minute drive from my house in west Knoxville.

Awesome! I'm hoping for my inspection next week as well, still trying to match schedule with the DAR. I've done some taxi tests already, I don't believe there's anything preventing you from doing taxi tests before inspection, just not allowed to takeoff without the airworthiness certificate.

Reference AC 20-27G Section 18(a)(1):

"Be thoroughly familiar with the aircraft, its engine and propeller operation,
and ground handling characteristics, including operation of the brakes. You should test
these operations by conducting taxi tests before attempting flight operations. You are
not authorized to take off during taxi tests without an airworthiness certificate"

edit: My inspection is scheduled for Monday 4/22. Stoked!

My weight and balance went well but came in a little heavy. 752lbs empty. my Cg is towards the forward limit as well but even with full fuel and a pilot in still with in range. I need to calibrate my fuel level probe and then ill be ready for taxi test. Still hoping for inspection next week. My inspector is also our eaa tech counsler and has really already inspected the plane throughout the whole build process so inspection should go really well....I hope!
