Hey all,
I'm sure you remember this discussion from 2016:

Anyway I'm off from work today and the weather is perfect. Was going to work on my hammerheads. During preflight I discovered this:

I've drilled it out and am going to replace it now.

I know at least one other Waiex builder missed this detail in the plans. A warning/reminder for current Waiex builders and pilots. I had been watching it and planned to change the hinge during annual next month, but the time is now. 193.5 hours and a ton of landings.
