Photo Album Suggestion - split from viking thread

Those that posted in defense of yahoo certainly didn't help my cause. Kind of like saying "Why would we want something better?".
I will say that yahoo's photo albums is something I would like to see here.A kind of gathering house of all the photos that anyone posts .If I'm building a Sonex and I want to see if I can find a pic of what I'm working on I would go to a category in Sonex entitled photo file and look at each individuals file of posted photos .I have no idea if when a builder posts a photo in a post whether it could automatically go to his or her photo file but it would be nice.
Sometimes I am just looking at how some part is orientated in someone's photo so it's not like I can necessarily find it by using a search engine.
I use Yahoos photo albums extensively for this purpose.
It would also encourage others to post pics to there albums just as a benefit to others.

A photo album is certainly possible,
All it would take if for Chris to add another subforum called "Photo Albums" like we have a subforum called "General Discussion" or "Announcements".
All we would do then is each of us open our own private threads in that forum (meaning only the topic starter can post in the thread), mine could be called "Mike's Sonex #145" for example, where I would only post my own photo's, possibly with short description but nothing more.
And there you go, we have our photo albums just like we have in the yahoo groups.

I like the idea. The new photo album has been created.

I might disable photo uploads and require using other hosting sites for the pictures to save space on the server.

I will figure out the specifics as we go but the photo album forum is up so if anybody wants to get started, go for it.

I agree.

If everyone sticks with labeling the part number or plans page number under the image then photos for a specific part or assembly will be really simple to find.

Thanks for bringing up the idea of a photo album. Thanks to rizzz for your input as well.
