Re: Show and Tell

Good post Wes! We used to do a lot more of this in Chicagoland and I got some good support from it.

I have a Jabiru 3300 powered Sonex taildragger at Clow (1C5) and would love to show it to any builders, prospective builders, or new owners.

Re: New guy with build questions

Hi Marc! Welcome to the community! Where are you located? These days an EFIS with EMS built in is the best idea. Many choices, and as you said wait as long as possible to decide. Dynon, GRT, and several other manufacturers are all good options. Each has give and take. Glad to see you asking this stu...

Re: Instruction in Experimental Aircraft

I submitted my request last evening.

This is a terrible, horrible decision by the FAA and will decrease safety.

Re: Welcome Second Owners (builders too!) from a Second Owne

You should look at the factory service bulletins.

For the AeroVee:

http://www.aeroconversions.com/support/aerovee_sb.html

For the airframe:

https://www.sonexaircraft.com/service-b ... s/#general

If you have not done so, transferring the plans to your name is well worth the money.

Re: Oshkosh 2021

There is a picnic Wednesday evening at Wayne Daniels’ home.

Unless the Foundation BOD meets and schedules something, I am not aware of any other foundation events.

FAA stance on flight training in Limited category aircraft

The FAA has issued a clarification of the court ruling on flight training in limited category aircraft. Taken as written, this has a bad omen for transition training where owners pay for instruction in their own aircraft. Hopefully this is resolved quickly. https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-ne...
