Re: Multiple Radios

I'm really more interested in seeing what people have done with multiple radios (if anything). Sure...makes perfect sense. I hope someone is able to help more than I. One possible alternate source is to look into the RV forum boards... Check out http://www.vansairforce.net . I don't know if I've ev...

Re: Multiple Radios

Wow...that sure is a tiny airport packed in the middle of some pretty busy airspace! As you know, you'll obviously need a transponder with mode C for that area in addition to your radio. I'd say it's up to you on a single radio or two...you could probably get by with just one since most now come wit...

Re: Waiex #0056 - N569KM First Flight 4/2/2012

Hi Kip, I now have three test flights completed but have been at FSI in Wilmington for recurrent all week so not much for this week. Thus far all seems to be pretty good...I'm seeing CHT's around 380-390 on climb out, and they drop to 350-360 in cruise when the EGT's are around 1150-1200. At 3000' a...

B-25 Doolittle Raiders Fly In, central Ohio this weekend

Hey All, I know it's last minute but if anyone is around central Ohio this weekend or early next week, the 70th anniversary of the Doolittle raid is this weekend. Over the course of the weekend B-25's (as many as 30) will be meeting at Urbana - Grimes Field (I74) and then on next Tuesday morning all...

I plan to leave Atlanta mid-week before OSH heading to the northeast, touching down in every state. Then, point west to make OSH in time for the open house. I'll be going through Ohio... 8-)

Sweet! You'll have to let me know your plans so we can try to meet up.

Re: Waiex #0056 - N569KM First Flight 4/2/2012

Congratulations! First in the sonexbuilders.net first flight section too. I love your paint scheme. It is simple but classy looking. Question on the landing... It appears that the engine died when you were taxiing off the runway. What happened there? Yeah it sure did...I simply had the idle set a l...

Re: Sun-n-Fun 2012

Very cool Kip! Glad you had a good trip! 3 hours is awesome...where do you keep your plane? You're going to have a problem here soon when you'll need to choose which plane to fly between the Waiex or the Pitts
