Re: Best Fuel Injector for Jabiru 3300

you didn't specify reliability. I think that overrules all.
I've run both. AeroInjector hands down. Simplicity is king. Only two moving parts.

Re: accident sonex N610DJ

I have had an engine out during climb out. About 500 ft AGL turning to crosswind at 100mph due to a Rotec carb issue. I had a LRI (Lift Reserve Indicator). I immediately flew the LRI to return to the airport. I came up short and landed about 100 yards into a frozen field short of the runway. But I d...

Re: Insurance vs FAA requirements

My insurer Costello, has only found one underwriter who would insure my Sonex. My glider and Cessna no issue. Glider insurance is going through the roof due to a high level of claims. But seems many underwriters are just avoiding Sonex.

Re: Throttle Cable Failure in Flight

During my second or third test flight back in 2013, I had the Bowden clamp on my throttle cable liberate the cable sheath at the carb at full throttle. This relieved me from the burden of power management as I could not regulate engine speed. I was only able to return to earthly endeavors by pulling...

Re: Pattern Work

When I say I've landed in a 20 knot direct crosswind, I didn't say it was fun. I wouldn't even say it was sporty. It was a carrier landing. It was the day of the total eclipse across America 8/21/2017. Three ships launched out of middle Colorado to intercept the eclipse in flight in southwest Nebras...

Re: Pattern Work

Hi Guys, On the forefront of my mind right now is gaining proficiency in my new Onex. The airplane is fun but will be a lot more fun when I'm not worried about the conclusion of each flight. I now have a total of 10 fights and 13 landings in the airplane and things are getting less tense but I stil...

Re: Sonex-B Fuel Tank Vent

I will report that my B-model tank has not deformed. I placed my vent near the fill neck and routed it through the firewall and down the side edge with a 90 degree turn facing into the airflow. It was made with a 3/8th inch steel automotive brake line.

Re: Jabiru oil leak resolved

Excellent work Robbie.
Like old men, excitable women and Harley Davidsons, they tend to leak.

Mine is high and dry until the sealant cracks again.
