That's great Robbie. What kind of RV is your brother building? I foresee you'll be flying well before him. As I'm sure you've seen, he's going to need to deburr then dimple every rivet hole, and the solid rivets take more time (and help) to rivet than our stainless pop rivets. That is assuming...
Understood Robbie. Did you also go for the angle kit? Looking back, both kits would have been really nice but if I had to choose I would have bought the angle kit. Have fun framing the wings...I thought it was pretty cool when I cleco'd the ribs on the spars the first time. You'll be there in no time!
That looks great Robbie! Congrats on your milestone :D
Have fun on the wings. Did you get the preassembled spars? If you did, you'll have your wings framed out in no time! (not that the spars are that bad...)
I'm 100% with Kip on this. If mine needed any adjusting at all, it was very little and done by hand. My rib prep was to make sure all edges and lightning holes were smooth with sandpaper, mark flange centerlines with a sharpie, and then start putting them on the spar. Most of the prep time was spent...

(sarcasm...) Anyway, the controls are now on: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v687/MikePGT/2011-11-16_10...
I know it doesn't help much right now, but I would probably wait and see what the factory says. You may still have enough edge distance there once you up drill to 3/16", but I can't remember what is needed.
We've all faced issues...just keep at it and see what Kerry suggests. Let us know!
Mark, I'm going to second what Kip and Robbie have said. While the wings on the Sonex are "removable", it's certainly not something you'd want to do on a regular basis. In fact, I'm really hoping I never have to pull mine off again! I was working on something a few weeks ago and dropped a ...
