Re: Brand New Prince Prop De-Laminating.. BIG Disappointment

I have the exact same problem. Last week, emailed Lonnie and he agreed to send me a new prop without question. I received my original prop jan 2012. Not sure it its a a batch issue, I'm happy win the response from Prince so far.

Re: Sonex Interiors

The colors match perfectly with the paint scheme. And its damn comfortable. I did a two hour cross country in it today and found the pads moved around a bit too much. Need more velcro to hold them in place.
7.4 hours on the Hobbs, 9 flights. On my way to OSH in July me thinks!

Sonex Interiors

Just a post to get things started here. My interior is a work in progress. I never liked the Sonex factory interior, just thought it was too flat. So I took some old Audi seat cushions I had laying around and carved them to fit the seat tray. They give some thigh support and add to a less flat seat....

Re: How High Have You Gone?

Gary, you need to come down and fly with me and Zack at KFLY. Zack is my hangar mate.
Zack can't fly above 14k without a transponder, but I'm game to see if my Jab3300 will go to 18k.

Re: Jabiru Propeller Bushings

I did get my Jabiru second hand and it had the 3/8 bushings. So I don't know if the original owner drilled them or he got new ones.

Re: Jabiru Propeller Bushings

I think you may have the wrong bushings. Mine are for AN-6. You might wish to call Jabiru USA and see if they sent you the wrong ones or can point you to a supplier of the AN-6 ones.
As for prop torque, I used the Prince settings on the label of the prop.

Re: Sonex Fuel Tank

I saw a remote video camera at Costco for $99. Has a 3 ft probe with a tiny camera on the end. Displays on an LCD screen. I think I might just have to get this. It would be great to do these types of inspections. Couldn't find the link to Costco, but here's a Harbor Fright one. http://www.harborfrei...

Re: Engines that have Sonex flight time?

Yes there is a chap in Norway who did a Rotax 912 then turboed it.
And another 912 in South or Central America.

Re: Engines that have Sonex flight time?

Both Revmasters and Great Plains VW engines have been flown in a Sonex.

D-Motor shows lots of promise and UL Power is going to take the Jabiru market soon.

Re: Duke Engines

All this motor company needs is for someone like Jan Egg to just bring it to market. Let his R&D team (customers) work out any bugs.
