Re: Wing building table size

Re: Bronze bushings

In our Sonex plans grease (or greese) is specified for our bushings rather than oil. What does this do to the pores of the bushings? Also, I'm curious how many of you are using vacuum to re-impregnate the bushings with oil.

Re: Bronze bushings

I used abrasives on some bushings and scotch brite on others. I'll try and report back in 20 years how it worked out.

Re: Cotton Waiex 191 - N191YX

Thanks Michael! We are definitely trying to hammer this thing out. To all of you who told me my instruments were mounted too low on the panel - you were right. For the CDI, and more surprisingly for the breakers and cigarette lighter plugs we had to hack the crosspiece. What I decided is to make .04...

Re: Wing twist - hypotheticals

I used steel rods through the rib tooling holes to check for level. Worked great.

You will really have to work hard to get a 1 CM twist, or hit the whisky hard. It's not that bad.

Re: Wing twist - hypotheticals

Mike, When all the skins are on the wing forms a box and it won't twist. You have a few opportunities along the way to ensure the wing is true. First, before the placement of the first skin. I measured for level at either end and the middle. Make sure the skeleton is both true and secure. This preve...

He has not been into working at the hangar lately so I was...

Re: Canopy latch alteration for double hook- L angle source

Check out eBay item 181909292468. It is 6063-T52. The only thing I don't like about it is the square inside corner.
