Re: AOA

The Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation has an article on building your own LRI. I have one in my Sonex and it is a great tool for reference.

Re: Friend Down

4) run the checklist

Hopefully, Dan Gryder will not factor in.

Re: Piloted Drill Bit 3/8 x 1/4

Ok, Sonex Builders. We have a builder in Maryland finishing a legacy Waiex kit and he needs to borrow piloted drill bits.

“1/4 to3/8 and 3/8 to .0375 I think. I’m listening to sonex flight podcast 51”

Who can help him please?

I got my insurance renewal quote today. Sonex A model tailwheel, 200 plus hours time in type, 1385 total time and 370 tailwheel time.

I have $35,000 hull insurance.

$919 from Global through a local agent.

Chris, when I had my AeroVee with that spinner I just looked for the thinnest sockets I could find and ground a bit off the edges to make it fit.

Others may have more elegant solutions.

Waiex project at 1D2

Good morning I have a friend who is interested in a Waiex project for sale at Canton-Plymouth Mettetal airport in Michigan. I’m curious if there are any Builders in that area who would be able to give me some information on the build or do a precursory look before my friend goes to see the project. ...
