Re: Waiex Build Status and Completion Photos

Hey all, just as a quick update I'm still hacking away at #0056 with hopes that the end is slowly getting closer. Lately I've been working on wiring and engine baffles, both being a lot of fun! (sarcasm...) Anyway, the controls are now on: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v687/MikePGT/2011-11-16_10...

Re: Potential Major Problem...need opinions

I know it doesn't help much right now, but I would probably wait and see what the factory says. You may still have enough edge distance there once you up drill to 3/16", but I can't remember what is needed.

We've all faced issues...just keep at it and see what Kerry suggests. Let us know!

Re: Simple Sonex Wing Fold Bracket

Mark, I'm going to second what Kip and Robbie have said. While the wings on the Sonex are "removable", it's certainly not something you'd want to do on a regular basis. In fact, I'm really hoping I never have to pull mine off again! I was working on something a few weeks ago and dropped a ...

Re: Mark in Ohio

Hi Mark, My pleasure. I try to spend at least one or two evenings per week and one weekend day at my hangar, working on the plane. My cell is 614-595-3521 and email is michaelfarley56@gmail.com if you ever would like to arrange a visit. Heck, if the weather's ever nice just fly the 150 over and say ...

Re: Mark in Ohio

Welcome Mark! Where in Ohio are you located? If you happen to be in central Ohio, my mostly-completed Waiex is at Marysville, OH (KMRT) in a t-hangar. I live in Westerville and fly out of KCMH.

Welcome to the board! :)

What else do you fly?

Since a lot of people on this forum have not yet completed their projects, I'm guessing we're all flying some other kinds of airplanes. I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone is currently flying while they finish their planes. Since I brought it up, I'll go first... Professional job:...

Odyssey PC625

I'm hoping the time is rapidly approaching when I'm going to need to get a battery. I followed the plans for a PC625 size battery box now on my firewall and was curious if anyone knows of a low priced vendor. I can pick one up at a local Batteries Plus for $108.00 and I know that's cheaper than Airc...

Re: Plans notation question

Yeah that would probably work, at least for these holes. My guess is that the circles indicate predrilled holes in the floor skin (at least that's what I went with) but as I think I mentioned, I don't see any harm in pilot drilling the longerons. In fact, it may be a good idea so you can deburr thos...
