Re: Removal of white labels on parts.

I could not bear to think of all those labels inside there. I scrape them off with my fingernail and then use acetone. It is tedious but my son shares the task with me.

Re: My first polish test

If anybody is getting complacent about which edge of the buffer goes down when polishing near the edge of the skin, don't. I now have a minor beauty tweak on the bottom of the right hand side near the tip.

Re: My first polish test

Adam did the first polishing with grade C tonight. One side, 30 minutes. We have decided this is where we stop for assembly. Still has some holograms but man it looks cool.

Re: My first polish test

I have bought a package of microfiber cloths. They look like terrycloth to me. Seem to work good. I finished up with F9 tonight, onto Nuvite C. That is as far as I am going prior to assembly.

Re: Rivet hole size

None of our rivets are 3/32. That is just the size of the pilot holes. There is a table of these rivets at A/C Spruce.

Re: My first polish test

Thanks Mike. Still making progress. I retired one HF pad as I suspected its tiredness was generating a lot of swirly scratches. That helped. Do you guys wash your pads and rags or just chuck them?

Re: My first polish test

Hi all, We have done our first pass with F9 on one stabilizer skin. For a couple hours work it looks good, like a 20+' polish job. I am polishing before riveting. How nuts should I go considering I still have to rivet and then store the tail for a while? I am using an old sears 10" grinder on l...

Re: Training kids to build

Funny - I got a loan request yesterday from the 140 contingent after they saw the pics of Adam polishing!
