Re: Aeroinjector -- caution!

hi all, just a few comments. WaiexN143NM Michael Michael, I understand your frustration with Rotec support. Imagine mine. I have an off field landing due to fuel starvation. Within hours I'm emailing them for help. ZERO, NOTHING, NADA! I investigate myself, find nothing abnormal with the system, no...

Re: Aeroinjector -- caution!

When my regulator shut off fuel, even pushing the primer button didn't help. fastj22 So just curious again about the Rotec, with your install when it failed did you have a fuel pump in the lines or was it solely a gravity fed system? Gravity fed. I had 60 wonderful hours of wonderfully atomized fue...

Re: Aeroinjector -- caution!

So the Rotec tbi , If there is an issue its supposed to supply fuel when the primer is manually opened.. adjust the mixture so it runs ok then limp home? The ppl that have had failures with them did this not work? I've had the aerocarb and rotec tbi version one and two on my engines and believe I p...

Re: Aeroinjector -- caution!

So here are your options .... If flying a Jab, you can hang with the Bing. Lots of Sonex drivers have done this, gotta figure out carb heat and mixture control if you want it. But good results, no burbs due to the bowl. I've disassembled a Bing and it ain't a simple carb. Good atomozation of the fue...

Re: Cooling Plenum

I’ve gone with a plenum and have found much lower temps and balanced CHTs on my Jabiru.

Re: Re...Burp Tube

If all the components of the fuel system are pointed down hill from the fuel tank to the AeroVee then the burp tube is redundant. I removed the gascolator and made sure the aeroinjector was the low point in the fuel path and have never had a burp since. I think the burp tube is benign at best and a...

Re: Burp tubes

My burp tube is not a complete cure for the burbs but it does help a lot. When heat soaked in 90+ temps and a long taxi, I still get them on rollout but not to the extent I got them prior to the tube. It basically has cured the burps in cooler temps. Running 100LL also helps a lot.
